Great job getting out there and doing it. I like how you picked distances and elevation that would let you get a taste of the trail but not overly committed.
And the pics look great. Some nice looking swimming holes.
Great pics and congrats on your first backpacking adventure.

Great first trip!
By the name of the Hollow on the map, I would have thought it was from the '60s!
Wow what a beautiful area!! Those water photos are incredible!! Hopefully this is the first of many backpacking trips for you!!! Pack On Brother!!!
Great pics and it's awesome that you got outside and got to it. I have the BCUSA 10x12 tarp still and I know what you mean by heavy. That 1.9oz/70D material ain't light. It's next on my list for Jared to replace but since I have to buy two of everything so it's taking time. George is really going to be liking me by the end of the year when I finish ordering six more quilts lol. I made my pack lighter only to fill it back up this last trip and it was 31.7lbs. Way too heavy and caused a zero day. I'm not making that mistake again. Currently I'm at 20.48lbs for a winter set up and I'm trying to get it down five more pounds. It will take some time and cash but you'll get it to where your pack and gear are just where you want them to be and be able to enjoy it more. It's a journey that we all go through. You did far better than me on the mileage my friend. I really liked the picture of the wavy rocks in the stream. That is so cool. Keep em coming !
