Hey Gang, I am new to HF. Just getting started with the new "sport" of hammock camping and backpacking.
I live in the south east close to the coast. I have done the Neusiok Trail 21.7 mi. and camped one night solo. Sleeping was a challenge in my hammock. I managed a couple of hours sleep. Still I enjoyed the trip.
I have recently retired and I plane to hike, camp and backpack as long as I can. I am not Hispanic. Just wanting to learn the language.
My weaknesses are tarps and hammocks? Ha Ha! That is why I must learn by experience and why I am here. I have a simple gathered in hammock. I use a whoopee slings, carabineers, and straps. My tarp is a simple in-expensive six sided set up for six guy lines including the ridge line.

Be sure to ask any questions you may have, and don't forget to search for the topics that might interest/help you.
