3 season uq on the AT

My current underquilt order is on hold but I can switch if needed and I considered it based on a few things.
My initial EE order was for a regular length 20deg quilt.

If I do change the order, I know I would most likely get a full length being a beginner... I probably should have done that the initial order. I'm not really planning on winter camping and normally go spring, summer and fall before it gets too cold. Mostly in the fall I would get by on 50 deg nights with a thermarest folded pad at torso length and was using a 50 deg dleece blanket, with some extra layers of course.

I'm just wondering if a 20 deg. rating is too much. Any thought appreciated knowing this question may have been asked 50 million times

Stay off the top of the mountains, good to go!
Spring/Summer/Fall, 20 degree, vent in mid summer as needed!

20 degrees makes for a very versatile quilt!

Sounds like that's pretty much the staple

I take my Jarbidge three season UQ in anything down to 30 or so. In fact, it's packed now for a Benton McKaye trip we are leaving on in about an hour. Expected lows in the upper 50s, so I'd say it's pretty versatile.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I ended up getting back on the horn with Enlightened Equipment and changed my order. Kept a 20 degree rating for the quilt but got the 75" long model. The bonus there is that it's in stock and will get here real quick and I'm feeling like the longer one will be easier for me to adapt to with a little less adjusting.
