ViDEO: Neusiok Trail NC with the Hickery Brothers Part 1

Hickery and I made a last minute decision to walk the Neusiok Trail out near the coast of good ol' North Carolina.
Gunner76 met us and shuttled us on up to the North end for our start. What a fantastic sunset!
On the way Hickery and I stopped at a couple of classic BBQ Joints. Wilbers BBQ in Goldsboro and Kings BBQ in New Bern.
Yes....we pigged out and porked up. Oink.

Man, it's great to see another Shug trip report!

Awesome to see ya'll back on the trail. Good times. Indeed, glorious to be striding dry trail again and shedding the pounds, nothing more delightful. It was a long one. Salute!

I very much enjoyed the switch-up in scenery and an area I visit often, but not a trail I've ever stepped foot on. It's on the list, but I never seem to get organized before the mosquitoes set in. Looking forward to Part Deux.

Related, I admire y'alls dedication to the BBQ art by hitting two classics back-to-back that are about thirty minutes apart...

When are you and Hickory going to hike the AT?

We hit Wilbers, Kings, Skylight Inn, Lexington #1 and Stameys. Maxie Bs Cakes. And a great seafood joint in Morehead City for shrimp burgers and oysters.

We have talked about doing a week on the VA sections for one of our future trips. Or maybe NC.
Both hikes some of it in our young tent days.
