Hi all! I joined the forum about this time last year brimming with questions, and eager to get started with hanging, but work got in the way and I all but forgot. Now, Spring is in full effect, and I've got the itch again.
First, a little about me. I'm in Ladson, SC just northwest of Charleston and originally from Atlanta, GA. I've been living here for a little over 2 years, and my dream has been to find a nice beach somewhere, strap up a hammock, and just swing an afternoon away, listening to the waves and feeling the breeze. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where exactly the good spots are. A lot of the beaches in and around Charleston are so developed that you can't throw a sand dollar without hitting someone or their beach house. Save for taking a boat out to one of the uninhabited islands, I fear that I won't be able to find that one spot I think about all the time.
I look forward to diving deep into the forums and reading up on all the great information and stories here. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions for a good beach hang, I'm all ears! I'm looking at anywhere between Myrtle Beach and Hunting Island.
Thanks!
