    Good news on multiple fronts...

The Glasgow K.I.S.S. does depend upon the width of Dutch's Xenon Wide fabric, but fortunately it only requires one single straight cut across that width to cut the blank, so yo can order everything g you need from Dutch and it will be relatively easy to build. The basics of the Glasgow's construction are here on HF, and a detailed step-by-step DIY tutorial will be available this month in the Dutchware Gear Articles section on the website.

Dutch and Alex already have the plans to print my Cat Tangle all-season rectangle tarp, which is made with standard-width fabric, so pre-printed solid colors and patterns should be available if you call DWG and order one. The prototype printed Cat Tangle kit went out to me in yesterday's mail, so I should have it soon to document my build of the latest version, with a detailed DIY tutorial article also due out on the DWG site later this month.

The other pre-printed DIY tarp pattern I also intend to write-up and submit for consideration by Dutch and Alex is the Badlander hex with half doors; it is also made from standard-width fabric and should be easy to adapt as a pre-printed kit in solids or patterns.

I'm not the first to say it but I just want to reiterate what a cool idea this is. The opportunities here for using different patterns, different tarp "blueprints" and even pre-printed lines for all kinds of MYOG kits is very exciting.

I'd love a future where I can go on Dutchwaregear and order printed Dyneema with lines so I can cut my own tarp with doors, and get custom printed fabric with an image of my choosing on it with lines to make a backpack, a hammock, etc with the other parts that come with it as a "kit." Really would open up MYOG to lesser skilled people like myself!

Does the hex tarp come also with cross grain and reinforcements?
If so are the triangles all marked also?
I guess I mean it’s not a kit per say?

Are these cat cut or straight? I can't tell from the pics, and there doesn't appear to be an option to pick.

These are straight. We are working on a cat cut version along with many others.

Very cool, Dutch. You and your team continue to elevate hammocks and accoutrements with thoughtful innovation and forward thinking. It has been a pleasure watching Dutchware explode over the past few years.
“The word hammockable (Meaning: two trees that are the perfect distance apart between which a hammock can be hung) is not in the dictionary, but it should be.”

In the video you mention kits...how long before those are available? I'm interested in getting one of these, but would need to figure out the tieouts and what not. It be great if there was a kit like the xenon asym tarp. Thanks.

Awesome. Thanks. I can find other things to order from the site to keep me occupied until then.
