I am shocked that there isn't already discussion about Enlightened Equipments new quilts

I know they aren't an advertiser here (which is weird) but is there some unspoken thing I'm not getting?

    You saw them right? https://enlightenedequipment.com/eni...eid=d7cd9f687d

I don't own any EE but i hear that it is very high quality. I don't think they really advertise, mostly word of mouth among thru hikers.

Looks about 1 ounce lighter than its non-hammock counterpart

No pad clips, but added a toggle to hold your foot pad to your foot. That seems great.

EE also has a reputation for being colder than other similarly rated quilts but it's important to note that they raised their fill rates 5% last year to compensate for that. Comparing to HG, it looks like the fill rates are the same, so the warmth should be the same.

Looks like a really nice, well thought out quilt. They make good stuff.

I got the email announcement this morning about the new offerings. I've got three of them: 0 degree Enigma, 20 degree RevelationX (discontinued) and a 40 degree Revelation. They've never let me down (excuse the pun) and I've always slept toasty warm. Quality and attention to detail is top notch!

Here's some threads about them on HF:

I don't think quilts get any lighter, and they come in various temp ratings... their 50 degree is literally under 10 ounces

I just pulled the trigger on the Enigma version. It's like they were reading my mind because Ive been shopping a new TQ to reduce weight. Now that I'm full time in hammocks, I don't need the length/width I was in. I'm literally swimming in my current long/wide TQ in a hammock.

Yeah, they're interesting. I just couldn't believe somebody hadn't mentioned them already today. I like their products. I'm a bit surprised they are priced as high as they are with other current offerings but more power to them.

Wondering if anyone in the HF community were testers. I remember a few months back how they were asking for feedback and the like pre-release.

They do seem to be the only guys offering 7D shells, right? So what do yoo’all think about the shorter footboxes though?
