I have read some short posts on a pole modification for tarps, i have seen few pictures and would like to know more.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?.....
Thank You.

It's nothing too complicated. It is basically a few pockets sewed on a tarp's edges that will accept tent poles, along with a loop to hold the pole in place.

I think 2Q is the one with the modded tarp.
several of us are using tarps modded to accept poles. AngrySparrow, TQ, me, maybe GrizzlyAdams....it will grow...it is just that cool of a mod that give you so much in return for very little weight (i say little weight because i'm using a CF pole but even with aluminum the benefits are many).

Combine this mod with either a Beak or Sewn on Doors...and you have a very versatile and storm-worthy shelter.

I thought any time I got into a hammock it was a Pole modification...
I'm missing something here.
Is the pole pre-bent? If not, what keeps it from launching pegs into lunar orbit?

The pole in my mod was the remains of an old REI Sololite tent I had. It is a seven section aluminum shockcorded deal. The two center poles are prebent and the others are straight.
We have a tarp from an HF member willing to be our guinea pig to help us assess time and materials required to offer this mod along with our other mods. We would do the sewing aspect, not provide the poles. Poles can easily be purchased from Quest, Fibraplex, etc.
