    Source for stainless split rings

Looking for the same size split rings that Warbonnet uses at the clip-on points for doors on the Mamajamba. Same ones used at the ridge tie out points on the Mamajamba and Superfly.

I think they are about 15mm and have a load rating of 80 - 100 lbs.

I order some from Amazon, but they were too small. Any I find in the bait & tackle shops are the right diameter, but have too high of a load rating.

Email in to Warbonnet, but hoping to find them soon..

    Thoughts?

Dutch has Ti Split rings on his site. I just ordered some but got 1" and they are too big. My Tato toggle slips through. The Warbonnet ones are pretty good. I bet Brandon would get you a couple.

If I were you, I would use some that are similar, but don’t have the unnecessary pointy ends like WB and UGQ uses. These are the points I’m referring too:

Thanks all. The Ti from Dutch are too large for my needs. As are the ones from Amazon. I did hear from Warbonnet and they have a good price but I need to confirm shipping costs as that could make for poor cost efficiencies.

    I’ll try McMaster Carr..

Most fishing tackle dealers have them in the salt water section.

I visited virtually every tackle shop I could find..and in my area, there is probably three every quarter mile. The issue was the same in each. For the physical size we would use, about 15mm, or a #11 in tackle nomenclature, the strength rating generally starts around 250lb test. This heavy load rating defeats the purpose of using a split ring as the 'fuse' in a tarp setup. Virtually every inch of the tarp will fail before the split ring fails.
