So is the wbbb xlc built to be head left? I am currently not using the bug net or the winter cover. Just using it as a traveler indoors. I guess I was under the impression that the net/top cover were switched inside out to change the lay direction.

That's true. And you can buy a Wooki in standard lay (head left) or reverse lay (head right).

Sorry for the edits. Just want to be clear on my thoughts. Ok. Great. Am I correct about the hammock itself? It is not built for left or right lay until you add the top cover/bug net?
After re-reding your response, I understand. I will continue to try both lays to be sure. I sleep in my bed on my right side and I feel that’s what is drawing me toward the head right lay.

The updated version of the BBXLC (Oct '17) is designed for laying in either direction with a reversible top cover/bug net. Models prior to then used a head left/feet right configuration by default. However, Brandon would accommodate requests for head right/feet left configuration upon request.

I would support all who say 20° UQ. You have the XLC, so easiest thing is to get the Wooki 3 season. I use that for everything from 11° (lowest I have gone with it so far with no wind) on up to summer hanging here in Maine. Never had to vent it. I have the Scandinavian Wooki for when we get silly cold. I would run the 20° if I was inside for sure.
