I would be shocked if you weren't warm enough INDOORS with a 40 wooki + topquilt... unless your a REALLY cold sleeper or your room temp is very low.
As for the clothing, except for extreme cold I actually find I sleep warmer when im just in underwear. The down seems to warm up faster and radiate back faster. The only reason I wear more clothing in extreme cold is because of the shock when shifting in my sleep and a rush of cold air gets under the topquilt for a second and because a get up to piss a couple times per night...
If you want to be safe a 20 degree wooki is a great all purpose quilt and for top insulation you can always just add a blanket or a costco down throw if you need to be warmer on top.
I've slept indoors in the XLC for a longer period now, and actually found the Yeti to be "set it and forget it". It doesn't move around, and it's long enough down behind your knees to give you plenty of margin. Well, I use my summer sleeping bag as a quilt in footbox-mode - I guess with a Wookie you are better off if you use a sheet topquilt. I often wake up with my feet outside the footbox though, without it being a problem. And if you don't leave the hammock out during the day, a Wookie would of course repeatably come up in the same position, but a Yeti might not.
For indoors I am happy with a La Siesta Colibri "quilted" hammock as an underquilt: http://www.lasiesta.com/CQH15-49/ . It's also fine as a hammock all by itself, but as a full-timer I prefer an >11' cotton canvas next to skin, with this under it. I replaced the suspension with a single bungie each side to keep it snugged up. Warm enough down to maybe 60F.
Here it is all by itself with a Tensa4 stand in a hotel:

Thanks for all the great input. It’s greatly appreciated.
Go with a 20° Wooki. I would be surprised if you would regret it. The Wooki doesn't come as far up as normal underquilts, that's why I have only very rarely been too warm - in contrast to non-Wooki underquilts. I have a 0° Wooki +2oz overstuff hanging under my bed-hammock indoors about 9 months of the year. Only when temps are 80° an higher I have needed to switch to a lighter underquilt.
You also don't need to worry about the rubber band wearing out. Warbonnet will send you a new one if that happens, or you could replace it with some shock cord (which is what I have done).
In my opinion, the best thing about the Wooki is not the "set it and forget it" part, but rather the perfect fit (no gaps anywhere!) and the fact that you can lie diagonally without feeling any pressure on the head or feet...
Same here. In addition, I need a top cover of some kind; something more substantial than a sheet. Not for warmth, but for comfort.
This is my advice. I have one. There are lots of other options, but more so than warmth, you want a UQ with the right composition and fit to the hammock. If you're sleeping in your hammock nightly, you don't want to feel your UQ or its suspension. The Wooki fits the XLC like a second skin.

I appreciate all the insight and advise. I am currently looking for a used wookie in the wtb forum. I will order a new one this weekend if I haven’t found one by then. Still deciding on Lay preference but I am leaning towards head right. Weak Pun intended. Lol
I'm sure this is dissected elsewhere. To me, lay preference wasn't obvious to me until I got into my first asym hammock, at which point it was as clear as day. Head left just felt, uh, correct.
