    I use 1.75 Zing-it. I hang at 30°. I've seen Zing-it break when used on flatter angles.
FYI, I use Dynaglide & Kevlar straps as my suspension. Works for my 200 pounds.

Mine is made out of 1.75mm zing-it which according to the mfg (Samson) is good for 500 lbs. works great for me

You could use Mara 70, if you were just using it as an indicator of an ideal hang.
If you want to set your straps as a significantly smaller angle than the sag set by your SRL, then heavier cord would be recommended.
If you regularly go with straps around 25° or less, I'd recommend at least 2mm dyneema.
I often use 300lb test 1.2mm hollow braid dyneema fishing line.

    Lightest Structural Ridgeline Cord???

You can use dyneema or lashit or zingit
Or other lighter lines for absolute light weight

You can even eliminate structural ridgeline for your hammock and just eye it in——you can even put a mark near each end of your tarp that would be directly above your hammock ends.Marks would be permanently centered on underside of tarp and same distance apart as an actual structural ridgeline.

If an extra light structural ridgeline breaks while you are camping——you can continue sleeping or get up and make minor adjustments in suspension if needed.

If your structural ridgeline is 7/64 amsteel, then you can reach up and grab it to help get out of hammock and it will be strong enough for you to grab and steady yourself after first standing while slipping into camp shoes and or pants.

Gadget’s recommendation of 2mm dyneema, might be best bet for light weight, while still having enough strength to allow you to pull up and steady yourself getting out of hammock.

HYOH and welcome from Denton NC

I'm using zingit as well, but I have used 200lb and 300lb test braided hollow core dyneema fishing line. I have been experimenting with Jerry Brown Hollow Core Spectra. It's super easy to splice.. I'd say far easier than any zingit or dynaglide. I am testing a CRL in 300lb, with mini-ucr's made of 200lb and it works fantastic. Only downside I find thus far is that this stuff is crazy slippery and very flexible so it tends to tangle easily (not an issue with the SRL). Weight of my 37' CRL is exactly the same as my zingit CRL of the same length.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Interesting. I had always wondered if 1.75 zing-it SRL’s ever broke. It sure seems possible. If all it takes is a tight hang, that seems a little too close for comfort if you ask me. I believe Warbonnet and DreamHammock use 7/64” for their SRL.

I use Zing-It 1.75 mm. I seriously doubt that Warbonnet and DreamHammock use 7/64 Amsteel, unless specifically ordered.

I’ll wait for someone to confirm it, but I’m fairly certain of this. Deanna from DH told me so, but there’s a chance there was some miscommunication. And the XLC I tried recently looked like it was pretty thick. It’s all packed up for a sale, so I can’t check it again.
