    I added the knotty as a test to my cheap Equip "double" , one on the right side by my feet and one on the left by my head to see how I liked it before doing it to the diy hammock I was making. I ended up putting one on each side of the foot end on the diy build because it worked out a little better not having the excess shock cord and cord locks by my head. Plus , doing it this way allows me to switch my lay if I wanted w/o having to switch which end I'm laying at. I typically have the foot side mod fairly "tight" to make that footbox or pouch type shape when I'm in it, and the head side mod pulled just tight enough to keep the edge from being floppy.
