That was the viw from the cabin this morning. Didn't expect to hike up in whiteout conditions last night. I think it's all melted already, but bring warm clothes :-)

Jackie (keltic princess), Janet and I plan to arrive around mid-day tomorrow.

Jackie (keltic princess) made another batch of pasta sauce last night. I picked up sausage, peppers and onions make in the DO. This is in addition to the meatballs we made and froze Sunday night. Janet is bringing garlic bread. I think we got enough food to feed the Russian army. Arrive hungry!

I just checked the NOAA forecast for Alexandria.

Friday- Sunny, with a high near 54. West wind around 10 mph.
Friday Night - Increasing clouds, with a low around 41. Southwest wind around 10 mph.
Saturday - Partly sunny, with a high near 56. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Saturday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35.
Sunday - Partly sunny, with a high near 41.

I am soooooo looking forward to this hang!!!!

Dump cakes are the best! What a way to christen the DO

I'll be leaving VT in the afternoon so I'm debating on arriving in the dark Friday or arrive Saturday morning. Don't want my dad and I to get lost in the wilderness! Also a very last minute request for a tarp and/or quilts please? I have my winter quilts but I don't have much for my dad. Also, with a chance of rain I think he would really appreciate more tarp coverage than what I can give him. Any help would be super amazing.
