I hadn't seen Amsteel Blue with a tracer before but at $72.95 shipped for a 600' spool, the price is right...http://www.lfsmarineoutdoor.com/sams...le-tracer.html

Anyone have any experience with it?

Shipping cost are way to high . Doesn’t make sense. Too bad!

Shipping costs from Canada prevent me getting a Trangia 1 liter kettle and a Trangia Tundra lid.
You do not hear me whining.
Shipping costs are not dictated by the seller, but by the shipping company.
    I collect vintage camp stoves.
    I roast coffee at home.

I believe the tracer was a mistake, they shipped some out then recalled them. The tracer adds some contrast and shouldn't take away from the strength. Several of us bought the 600 footers. That is still a great price even at $73, free shipping. there were discount codes to take 5 or 10 off, search around.

I had ordered a firebox kit with a small pot. Shipping cost as much as my purchases but the killer was customs which cost as much as the purchases and shipping together

You paid 100% customs and VAT?? That doesn't sound correct. Even for Switzerland

US package labels tend to have shipping costs included with the product.

If memory serves they billed me VAT on value of package + shipping and customs fees by weight + base customs fee...

Sums up quickly enough to about 100%.

Sounds like a system that discriminates against non-business individuals... Still, even though that's pretty tough, it's not the seller's fault or responsibility.
