I was able to slip out of the house for a quick overnight this weekend. Got to try out my new UGQ tarp, though no rain...so not a real test...but it pitched well. :-)

What trails did you take? I'm about ready to get out and only have one night myself so what area did you cover on this hike? Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
I hiked from Turnipseed parking lot on the Chinnabee Silent over to the Cheaha Falls, 1 mile hike...super easy. Spent the night there, then packed up and hiked over towards Chinnabee lake for about 2 miles, maybe. Just enough to stretch my legs a bit. Then back to the car and drove up to Cheaha Trail head, walked out to the first overlook on the Pinhoti, ate lunch, then back to the truck. No big miles, just relaxing walk.
