VIDEO: Out in the snow on Big Creek

We were only a few days away from the official start of Spring, but this year, we still have plenty of snow.

Since this trip was close to home, I went in a day early and my friend would join me the next day. It was a good call on my part because the hike in was sunny and beautiful. I love being out in the snow when the sun is shinning. It was my second trip using my pulk sled. I'm still not sure what to bring, because I've spent years getting my gear narrowed down so it would fit in my pack.. It is still a lot of fun to use. I ended up just bringing a cooking grate for the fire and a couple extra items for Timber.

It was a great trip and we had a lot of fun, but I will admit that I am ready for the snow to be gone so we can get in the mountains and actually hike a bit.

    Thanks for watching!

It snowed here again this morning, so it's going to be a while.

Enjoyed your video and editing very much. Nice use of timelapse, and you captured some atmospheric moments.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I always enjoy watching them.

It's going to snow all week here and the temperature is expected to be 4*F tonight. I think we will be winter camping for a few more weeks. I agree, I'm ready for spring to show up for good.

Same here to the west. We just got more snow. Great for the skiing, not great for me looking to get up on the high ridges. We're not 4º though... geez, that is a cold spring!

Fresh running streams through a snowy countryside, doesn't't get much prettier.
