Hello,
Can’t wait to get out and hang. I’ve been camping on and off for years. Started really getting into bushcrafting but found a lot of guys melding hammock camping and a little bushcraft together. Really excited for my first hang in a couple weeks. Bought a cheap hammock to test it out before I invest in quality equipment.i like to do DIY projects so I plan to maybe take that on too. I have watched hours and hours of YouTube videos, Shug is my hero! I truly believe he is responsible for my excitement to be hanging! Thanks Shug! Have really enjoyed the forum and all the information out there. Hope to someday join a group hang. I would appreciate any tips you might have.

I’m not signed up yet. I’m planning to hang a few night in my back yard, figure some of it out before I venture ! Thanks for asking though

I can't encourage you strongly enough to attend. I had never even been in a hammock before and this hang will be my 2 year hammock anniversary. ANY question you have about hammock life can be answered by the people in attendance who have been hanging far longer than I have. The wealth of knowledge in attendance is worth the drive. For new hammockers, you come to a hang to help figure things out. You don't have to have it all figured out before hand. I really hope you come. It's a fun bunch of folks and we eat well at these hangs too!

P.s. I love it when we get another hammocking gal to join us!

Welcome to the forums. Come on out to a hang. If you need gear just ask, most of us have extra we could let you use.

The best place to learn is at a hang, lol just be ready for lots of help, if you say can someone help me usually you have atleast a hand full of people that will follow you back to your hammock, if you can make the sprintergiving hang that would be awesome, and again if you need some extra gear just drop a line in the thread and people will be happy to help! Hope you decide to come we need some new blood in the ground group!
