    VIDEO: Ozark Highlands Trail

My original intention for this trip was to thru hike the 165 mile trail in 10 days. After two days on the trail, I decided to gear back my mileage and enjoy the trail more. When I walked into town to adjust my shuttle to cut my hike back to 100 miles, I called home and was told of a family emergency that I needed to return for. The trail was great. This was my first time fording creeks without a bridge. The waterfalls and views were great and the other hikers I encountered were friendly.

Hopefully everything is ok. You can always hike this trail another day. My high millage days are behind me so now I like to hike 6-10 miles a day and enjoy the hike. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Too bad you couldn't complete your hike but family comes first. You can always get back to the trail.

I've had my sights set on the OHT for a number of years & am waiting for the time when I can devote the time needed to hike it. Definitely a Spring or Fall time hike... Summertime can be brutally hot in Arkansas!

There’s Okies and Arkies and Tixens——-great slog on the trail——my feet got cold when you crossed those creeks. Thanks for sharing Jeremy.

Thanks for posting your video! I'm planning to take 3 of my kids (teens) on a section of the OHT over Memorial Day weekend, so it's great to see recent trail videos. Hope you can make it back someday to finish it!

Enjoyed the video and understand about the mile change. Sometime we forget the age versus miles calculation.

I enjoyed your video, thanks for posting. It's good to see videos where things don't always go according to plan too. That's life and makes it real!
