    My favorite hammock stand

This design was posted a couple years ago. The stand is made of 3/4" emt conduit and awning fittings. What I like about this stand the most is it doesn't take up as much room in the house like the Turtledog stand, when loaded the stand is very stable. The 4 legs are 4 ft long , (4) 5 ft for the two top sections with couplings, and (2) 9" for the cross members. When broken down it stores in a ski bag and weighs 24 lb. I myself weigh 185 Lbs but I feel this stand could handle someone much heavier. The cost of the material was roughly 30.00

No worries. I sometimes have to rotate them and then post them. It's a pain and something about this message board causes it as I do not see it on other forums. Where did you source the brackets from?

Since I just bought some similar type brackets, can I assume you $30 was for EMT only? Those brackets aren’t terribly cheap (if not exactly expensive either).

    Are the fittings from Tarps.com?

It's been a couple years I'm not sure who I purchased the fittings from. I tried searching for the post on the forum without any luck. A couple guys built stands using conduit but this one uses 3/4 and has 2 top rails.

I think this stand will be good for indoor. But it can't be used for picnic (sandy soils)
