    Nice 'N Easy Hex Tarp

    Here's my first tarp project.

i bought some price-worthy silnylon from a german supplier and went for my first tarp. My plan was a hexagonal tarp with doors fitting my 10.5' hammock (ridgeline-length 275 cm). To make the set-up easier i put LineLocs on every line. The are held by shock-cord and hooks, so they require no extra stakes. When open, they attach to each other so there is no need to roll or fold them aside.

    Material:

    7 meters of silnylon 40DEN 60 GR/SQM
    4 meters of grossgrain 25MM
    6 LineLoc cord-stoppers (for ~3MM)
    10 meters of Dyneema/polyester cord 3MM (ridgelines)
15 meters of polyester cord 3MM (guylines)
    2 BeastyDee d-rings
    2 mini-carabiners
80 CM of rubber-tube (latex or the like)

    Here we go.......

The ridglne seem is sewn as a french seem, coverd by the grosgrain. I folded the ends putting a d-ring in each loop, wich is supposed to serve a a rain stopper.

The LineLocs (conncted to the d-rings by 10MM webbing) help deploying and setting the tarp easily.

Ausgezeichnet! You finished the ridge line exactly the same way I do. Your tarp looks good.
