    Jumping in!

Coming from the ground (bug bivy and tarp setup) and finally jumping in with the hang after 18 years of backpacking. I recently starting making hammock seats (30" by 52") and after all the reading I did about modern suspension got me thinking about finally doing the hammock thing. Just ordered an HG Incubator 20, Dutchware Half-zipped hammock, HG cuben standard tarp, and a Katabatic Flex 22. I'm 150lbs and the dynaglide (for UCRs) is on the way.

Main backpacking location is the Sierras, and I'm looking forward to not having to find level ground and ground that won't pool water in a rain. Not looking foward to not camping above treeline in the Sierras, but I could carry a pad.

Very impressed with the level of knowledge I've found on this site, and the overall attitude. Nice to be here

    Steve

Hello and welcome from Marietta GA. A hammock beats a ground bivy and a tarp any day IMO! Happy hanging!
