    Thunderfly Rigging Question

Hi all, I have a WB Thunderfly on it's way and I think I have an idea of how I want to tie out the ridgeline and the four corners. I am planning on using dutch wasps for the ridge line and the tarp worms for the four corner tie outs, but I'm not sure what to do about the mini door tie outs. I like the idea of using some dutch bling but I don't know what would be the best fit. Tarp worms again? Any and all suggestions welcome, including on what my plans already are.

Mine will be here today, to me that is all the fun, just trying everything and all configurations. It seems a lot of folks are tying them to the existing trees when in use. Maybe a taught line hitch would fill the bill?
Have fun either way... And pictures please.. or it didn't happen...
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..

I'm considering one of these. I planned on just keeping the small carabiner since that works easily for both keeping doors staked down and for clipping together when not in use.

I ordered a couple tarp fleas from dutch for this task. I won't be running these lines too far whether tree or to the ground so we will see how it works. Pics will follow once I get all my gear.

I'd love to hear answers too. Set mine up in the yard yesterday and was trying to think of the best ways to tie back on inside (when not in use) and reuse some components when in use. Seems like the Superfly crowds clips back inside with shockcord, then just across to opposite stake when in use. But, since our doors are much shorter…

I can't remember where I saw it but I saw somebody just clip the tie outs above the tarp with the carabiner. You/we also have the option of using Shug's method of just rolling them up and using some kind of clip to hold them in place. If I figure out a way to tie it back in the interior I will let you know.

Yeah... I may just resort to that. Warbonnet shows that on their site... my designer brain wants to clean up the edges though. Chances are I’d just leave deployed most of the time though I suppose.

That's what I'm thinking since you can easily duck under the doors even when deployed. But I'm always in porch mode and thinking it would get weird if I do that while the doors are down.

You can use a couple of lightweight lengths of shock cord with mitten hooks on the ends to tension the doors against each other folded to the inside. It works well for absolutely ginormous doors, like those on my Batwing winter tarp and my Cat Tangle all-season tarp, so surely it will work for the WB tarps with half-doors, even if it is overkill...
