Absolutely fantastic! Largest gear raffle ever. Big thanks to Rip Stop By The Roll, Ridge Line Media Systems (Hang Time Hook), Dutch, as well as others for their awesome donations. The food was...well, what you would expect from a bunch of Louisiana outdoor people. Knowing that one of the cooking utensils is a metal boat paddle tells you you are in for a treat! Loved the location, it was perfect. Enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. I vote for two per year. Fall hang in late October, same place. All the organizers did a fabulous job. I know it was a ton of work...especially changing locations in such a quick time frame, I thought it all went extremely well!! Kudos to you all!!
    DILLY DILLY!!

This was my first group hang and really my first time car camping too. Anyone out there thinking of trying out a group hang, you won’t regret it one bit. There’s something for everyone out there. You have to see it to believe it, but it’s true! Maybe I just need to get out more and you guys already know this, but it’s a whole different experience for me and I’m digging it. Thank you everybody. It’s great to know that we can keep doing it again and again!

Thanks to everyone who organized, donated raffle prizes, and cooked awesome food! You guys rock! We enjoyed hanging with everyone and would love to see us doing a fall hang and a spring hang. I really liked this location, too. Hope to see y'all again soon!

Had a GREAT time! Was that food unbelievable or what?! It is amazing what can happen in the middle of the woods with no electricity or even running water. Thanks to EVERYBODY that had any hands in putting this together. I will be happy to help in anyway that I can in future gatherings.

I really enjoyed meeting those who were there Thursday night and I guess one night is better than nothing, but I sure wish I could have stayed for the weekend instead of having to bail out Friday morning. Looks like everyone had a great time.

Hopefully I will be able to stay for the whole shindig next time, already looking forward to it.

I had a great time this weekend. Thank your to Pat senior and Pat with the hair for the smoked pork butts. I would like to thank Dutch for his chameleon, dynema straps, and asym bugnet, to Barry with Sierra Madre for the hammock donation, to Alikali for the water filter and other items, to the friendly Giant for the blankets, lanterns, and dry bags, and to Clark Smith with Geaux Hammocks for his suspensions, whoopes, and 3 hammocks. The raffle was by far the best I have ever had the pleasure to present to everyone.
You guys and girls really fill my soul with joy. It was a pleasure enjoying the weekend with everyone and I absolutely look forward to next year.
Lastly, to Matt, Al, and Pat. Thank you guys so much for not letting me back out of this. I love the way complete strangers can meet and for a bond over something like hammock camping. Thank you everyone for everything this weekend.

Bugs: You don't need me to make you look like a fool.
Yosemite Sam: Yer deerrrnnn right I don't!
