Does it matter if the constrictor line is attached to the Tree or the Hammock?
In various videos I have seen it both ways, but I am interested in the experience for potential loosening, slippage, accuracy of adjustment etc.
My initial thoughts. If constrictor is on the tree end and the bury is toward the hammock then the initial friction between the lines would tend to tighten the constrictor, i.e. the bury wants to milk the constrictor.
If the constrictor is on the hammock end, does the initial friction tend to un-milk the bury? Probably not, but I am not that experienced.
The advantage I can see to having the constrictor on the hammock end is the tail of the bury line would be a natural drip line.
Thoughts?
