In a few weeks I am doing a 10 day section and will be using the XLC with winter cover and UQP with the 0’ Wookie. I just setup and zipped the winter cover to the UQP having the XLC loose inside. With no tarp up and the wind blowing the sock tends to blow into the XLC some which could be annoying but may be prevented when I have my tarp up. Nice thing is the full sock was able to fit into the XLC stuff sack being able to leave everything attached minus the ender quilt. After my section hike I’ll touch base and let you know how things worked out and if I made any adjustments to the setup. FYI this will be my first trip out with the XLC

I went out Friday night for a shakedown hike. When I first set up I had the UQP zipped to the winter top with the XLC hanging loose inside. With the breeze the full enclosure seemed to blow across the hammock some. It probably would not have been that big of a deal but I switched it so the winter cover wa zipped to th XLC and let the UQP jut hang loose. It looked as though it was real loose and would hang real low defeating its purpose but with me in the hammock the UQP fit perfect into place providing with bottom wind and weather protect to my underquilt, 0d Wookiee.

I thought the Warbonnet UQP worked without zipping to the bugnet?
I would just let it fly loosely like 2QZQ does.
I never take mine off and it always stays in place.
I haven't seen my UQ in months.

I sent mine to 2QZQ and they are moding it with shock cord down the sides. So I will report back about the results. Donna at 2QZQ is awesome, the customer service is amazing and turn around time is only 2 weeks and the price is dirt cheap.

It for sure will. Or you can zip it to the top cover or bugnet. My preference is to let the UPQ hang loose. But all the options are kinda cool. Can have a full sock or just a UQP hanging.
I'll be getting a video out on all the different ways fairly soon.

Yup very first post of the thread was the concern about UQP not being zipped on and my response was to show that it works just fine hanging loose. I love it!
