I have a friend, Laura, who is coming to BACONFEST and would like to try hammock camping. She has a sleeping bag and pad. Who is coming who has an extra hammock, tarp, suspension, and UQ? I'd love to patch together a sleeping system for her.

I ordered the new color maps of the Ripstop by the Roll's new Outdoor Ink and will bring them with me. You will be able to see what all the colors look like. I ordered the 1.9 ripstop polyester and the 1.9 Silpoly so you can feel the difference between fabrics too.

I signed up just so I could drop in and say HI.

I'm new to hammocks, I've never hung in one, and at my height (6'9") I'm still not entirely sure if I can get a comfortable hang in one. Would it be OK if I stopped by during the day sometime and chatted with some of the group? I don't know anyone that hammocks either. I'm looking to get into it so I can start motorcycle camping. Eventually I'd like to evolve into taking a trip cross country on an ADV bike, and as the kids move out, maybe I can try my hand at thru-hiking.

YES!! We have some hammockers attending who LOVE talking hammocks! (And I do include myself in that group)

Are you able to camp with us or only day visit?
