    Hanging inside - Question

I’ve got eyebolts in the rafters of my basement for indoors hanging in my hammocks. My Hennessy has Dutch buckles on it right now, and I was wondering what the best way to connect that suspension to the eyebolts without compromising any of the components.

Thoughts? How do you hang inside? I’m sure there are other threads...links are appreciated also!

    Climbing rated carabiners should suffice.

But where should I attach the biners on the hammock side? The buckle? The continuous loop (spliced on to buckle though...)? A knot in the tree strap?

I don’t think it matters, much the same as being outside on a tree.

The loop at the end of your tree strap on the biner- biner cliped to eye bolt- then thread the strap through the buckle- adjust and done.

I would use a marlin spike hitch around the biner. Let the buckle hang un-used. If you plan on using your hammock for camping and indoors I would make a dedicated strap to hang on the eyebolt so you can quickly connect the hammock without adjustment each time.
The essential part of me can not be discussed here. Ask me in person.

Dutch clips can be problematic for eye bolts. They are intended to go around a tree and uses some of the friction to reduce the force on them. If you can pull through the loop, then that is a great way to do and if you can get a biner in there, that is another good option. DCs are meant to be ultralight camping gear and fill that roll well. climbing biners are cheap and strong. So are huggers that are dedicated for indoor hanging.
