    Hey there,

Roughly how many nights have you had on the BlackBird? Also, what's the weights on the BB? I'm not familiar with whether or not there have been any major modification to the Blackbird in the last 9 years?

    Thanks!

In the stuff sack with all parts and pieces, my scale says 1 pound 12 ounces for the BB. They have done a few tweaks over the year. This one has fabric on the foot box panel, new ones have mesh there. I think they have changed what rope the hammock's ridge line is made from, this one is amsteel. Those are the two big things I am aware of.

I have not had a Warbonnet hammock at all before, and have been reading and watching videos on their site the past few days/weeks. I'm a bigger guy (375) and am curious how this compares to the hammocks they have listed today.
Is the 1.1 double layer the same as the "Light weight double blackbird"? If so, I think I'm probably too heavy for this setup.

    Thanks!

It is a bit different than their current offerings but I think the rating was 250 or 270...something in that neighborhood.

Got it! Thanks for the info!

I'm dreaming of a Blackbird - but think that the Blackbird Double Heavyweight XLC (400lbs) is probably the one that I'll have to go for when I'm able to make that happen!

    Thanks again!

I don't suppose a net could be added to the ridge runner?
