    Raven

In the next few days I am finally going to be able to order my raven. I'm looking at the 1.6 hyper D. Net only with tie out and cinch buckle. Is there anything I should look out for or know before I pull the trigger. First cottage hammock.

Just pick your color and leave it to The Smurfs.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

Yes, you need to be on the lookout for being overcome by the insidious cravings to try every other hammock by HF cottage vendors.

I recently sold my Raven to raise funds to purchase another Raven, er.., Sparrow. I was so pleased with my first SL Raven that I ordered another DL Raven so that I could use an Evozote CCF pad between the layers. I was pleased with the versatility of the Raven, i.e. lay anyway anytime, and the renown DH quality workmanship. Plus, it seems to be a very good value when compared with other cottage vendor offerings for similar hammocks. Then, boom!, I found out that DH just came out with the symmetric Sparrow and completely lost my self control and bumped the Raven up to a Sparrow. Sad story, but true nonetheless. Unfortunately, the Smurfs were more than happy to aid in my addiction.

The Raven is an awesome hammock (and value)! Just relax and enjoy it when it arrives.

Yes, be aware you will want to bookmark their order status page and watch your order climb to the top. Well worth the wait, but can be painful at times :-)

Consider adding the ridge line organaizer. I also added some mesh peak bags up in the gathered end. Nice place to toss a water bottle, music player, book, what have you. I think you have to email Dream Hammock for how to add that.

Not really. It will be more of a bug-season hammock for me.

You might want to check out the dutchware gear suspension systems and hardware. No rig is complete without dutch bling. I say this after having bought the suspension from DH first, when I first bought my sparrow..
