Are you using a drip line for rain running in on the suspension for your hammock? Or some sort of water break?

=Could it have just been misty dampness?

The water break was an issue, but that was the solvable one. Actually my sleeping bad was dry even though the hammock was damp. However The bottom of the quilt was also damp using the Minifly. I am guessing the names of the tarps -- "mini" and "thunder" outlines the intended uses. The Thunderfly is probably a better choice for a monsoon-like weather and thunderstorms. I would have survived in the Minifly though.

I have the shorter BB hammock. So if I wanted to have less tarp, so I think a little shorter in length and a little wider would be the trick.

Great vid Shug - Sold me, just got my thunder fly in the mail the other day. Been too busy shoveling all this recent snow to get out there and test it out with my RR. You use special stakes in the snow?

I do use snow stakes. See them at around 17.00 in.

Hey Shug, can you use that Boreal Shirt to sleep in, or is that too warm/bulky to sleep in conditions like you are in there?

    I wouldn’t......it is bulky.
