I really like the mod you and Jared came up with. Very nice and very adaptable. This just might be what it takes to push me over the edge for a light weight SL summer packpacking GE hammock option.

Thanks ! Yeah I own a couple products from simply light designs . Jared makes amazing quality products & quick turn around times . He has customizable options for the trail lair hammock as well as his full line of products . Now with that said the more modular you get the more weight .
Hope you give sld a shot

I've got a couple of their stuff sacks. One tailored to fit my Golite Chrome Dome Umbrella. I've been seriously considering the boot hammock, but to use as a small gear hammock instead.

I start the same way with all the cottage vendors. I buy small items , see what the quality , turn around time & customer service is like. If all is good I buy bigger items & so on. I kept reading about this trail lair hammock & tarps from simply Light . So I dived in . Got 2 tarps & 3 Hammocks from Jared now . Highly Recommned sld

This works quite well. Work of caution is to be careful zipping up when the layers are loose. It’s possible to zip into the mesh of the underlayer. I’ve done some similar and it works nicely. I like the hexon 1.0 for the TQ.

Hello Canada ! Yeah so far it’s worked great , but now we’ve hit a warm front pushing us into the 80 degrees, so I’m bummed I can’t test it in the conditions needed. A hammock forum friend just got one of your Hammocks & likes it a lot . Looks like good products. If I didn’t own so many Hammocks now I’d give yours a shot...maybe in 2 years? Be well

I slept in one of the prototype this weekend. Lows in the 20s with a lot of moisture in the air. It worked great! I had zero condensation issues. Left a zipper opened 6 inches by my feet.
