    Yep!

I first did it so I wouldn’t have to fuss with the bugnet pullouts on my Warbonnet but now it just seems like the only way to go!

I can’t wait to try that set up! I usually just batten down the hatches when I sleep, half porch mode never occurred to me.

I ordered a bushwack minifly in the sale, couldn't resist the price. If only warbonnet made tarps in dyneema, a CF thunderfly/mountainfly would be amazing.

I think the Minifly has plenty of coverage in Porch mode.

I had it in the rain two weekends ago and it was perfect. I did not feel the need to lower the front at any time.

Coverage over my XLC was great.

I ordered the minifly. One of the things I like most about hammocking is being able to see around me and avoiding the the claustrophobic tent feeling. I'm sure I'll be fine in a storm and I love the simplicity of the set up and most of all no seam sealing.

That's one of the reasons I ordered one too. I don't like the greenhouse effect on the CF in the summer.

Thanks for all the great advice about which tarp to pick y'all! (&OP for starting it up) It definitely helped me decide, pulled the trigger on a warbonnet MF and SF as kit for my wife and I.

Looking GOOD! Man, I kinda wish I went mini instead of thunderfly. Still time to change since my order is pending for another item. Not sure
