I am with ya. Thanks for the pics. My SF is in porch mode 95% of the time as well. I am pretty sure I have had it pitched in every conceivable way. If its nice, the doors are clippped back over the roof. If its not so nice, ill leave them down like in your first picture.
I am interested in the Minifly and Thunderfly porch mode setups. I am sure the doors can be tied back similarly to the SF but would like to see how it works in the bush and not in my head lol. For some reason I feel like the size and shape of the mini doors would make getting them stowed or pitched taught in PM difficult.

I see what you're getting at. I figured it would just take more cordage, but because of the smaller size and angles, maybe not so clear cut.
Here's another from the warbonnet site. I'm not sure how these are tied back...I guess just tied to each other as there are no panel pulls? Seems like wind could cause them to flap back if that is the case.
Yeah I agree, looks like they are hooked together and folded back (not secured). I suppose you could throw a prussik on your CRL (if you use one..like me) and then hook your doors into that and adjust from there for stowage. I might be overthinking it a bit but I dont see how you can hook them together and tie them back over the roof (ala the SF) without having a bunch of extra cordage. Hopefully someone that has experience with it can chime in or post a pic.I see what you're getting at. I'm glad you brought this up. I never would have though it to be different than the SF. I'll wait on some feedback before pulling the trigger.
Function is key, but to me keeping things simple and tidy are a close second. I don't do sloppy, lose fabric, clips, or knots and cordage that can rival a drunken Spider Man freakout session.
Not sure what a drunken Spider Man session is, but I'm with you on wanting to keep everything clean and tidy. The pics. from the Warbonnet site look good, but not sure how they stay in place.
More and more strings...basically a spiderweb of cordage all over camp.

I use binder clips to keep my Superfly doors back. One or two per door.
Prefer that to tying them back.
