    DIY convertable

Finished my convertible hammock. 11 foot 1.1 MTN fabric. Has a zipper attached bug net with Dutch's chameleon style zipper so it's removable. Also a partial top cover. I attached it to the bug net with kam snaps. I kept the top cover pretty small because I like a lot of air flow. Get a little claustrophobic when I'm too enclosed. Hoping it just holds in a little bit of warmth. I like that it gives me options. Whole package is exactly 20 oz. Pretty psyched to head outside for a nights nap and test it out.

You did a nice job building a functional, lightweight all-season hammock system. I like how you just attached your abbreviated overcover with simple snaps right over the bug net; you really took advantage of the freedom to create afforded by a DIY build. Welcome to the forum.

Nice job... thinking out of the box by going right over the bug net..
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....
