Arkansas Hang in the Ozarks. March 16-18

Hey all, Smokehouse has been dealing with some health issues (he's doing much better and should be at the hang) and asked me to start a thread for the annual Arkansas Hammock Hang. The last couple years we've had the hammock hang on the Mulberry River at Redding campgrounds. It seems like a great spot to return too but if someone has a new place they would like to try then please post that. Family friendly and everyone is welcome. There are plenty trees for hanging, hiking trails, floating, or just hanging out...

Ill be traveling to lil rock on the 17th from Nashville so i plan on stopping by and hanging out for the night!

I was there last year, but I managed to miss everyone. I think everyone was floating the river when I got there, so I ended up doing a solo hike to Spy Rock. I’ve got a trip planned to Meramec in MO the weekend before this, but I still might be able to make this one too.

Another option might be Butterfield Hiking Trail at Devils Den State Park. I hiked it last year and it was an awesome hike as well. Quite a bit more difficult than The Spy Rock loop though.

So glad to see an Arkansas hang on the board. I have missed the Yates Place hangs since leaving NC several years ago and moving back to my native Arkansas. Will do my best to make this.
