Sorry, I forgot to subscribe to the thread. Yes I'm still going Saturday to Monday, warm weather and all. Hope it doesn't get too slushy.

Ok, sounds good, I'll see you there. Also, I almost never say no to cake, if only to dissect it for ideas.

You guys are welcome. I hope I'll have some snacks to cook up for you, it'll depend on the weather. If things thaw out Saturday, they get eaten first.

I'm told it is on the west side of the lake, a little south of the only island on the lake. I wouldn't expect it to be difficult to find.

I'm planning on bringing some dim sum to eat, it's a little experiment to cook this over a fire.

It'll probably be some siu mai (steamed pork& shrimp dumplings), pot stickers (pan fried nappa & pork dumplings), scallion pancakes and some Lo Bak Go (savoury pan fried turnip cake). There should be enough to sample for the group, depending on group size, and if I get hangry.

If you're the type to likes dipping sauces, bring it your d@mn self.

    See you there,
    Jiblets

Did they every make it out of the woods? No posts. No reports. No pics. No nothing!

Bears? Nay. Knowing the EGL'ers, they'd need no more than two minutes before they either ran it out of camp or had it drawn and quartered and sizzling over the fire!

Jim and I were hot tenting at mew lake but did drop by and spend sunday afternoon with the Niger Lake EGL folks. Here's a few pics of the day I took. Hopefully I wasn't the last one to see everyone alive. Police haven't called yet...

We, Giblets, Cesar (my guest) and I, were the last to check out. Thankful for the warmer than normal weather that this "bootless" person didn't have to suffer so much. Despite the comfort of the boots, I (and others, I am sure) enjoyed the weekend and very good food. Never thought to have dim sum delivered AND cooked to your taste at campsite....it happens only at EGLer's hang. My boots were found inside my living room looking so zen and clean. I kicked it off to the side when I got home. Hoping for another outing before the spring thaw, of course weather permitting, hint, hint. Oh for sure, good times (& belly laughter) were had by all. Thanks, Jayson & WalkintheWoods, for the firewood you fetched.
