    Lazy Slug for Bridge

I'm looking at getting a Lazy Slug for my RR and wanted to know what those of you who have them think of it? Any opinion on mess vs nylon? I was thinking the mess would pack easier but the nylon would be more durable. I'd be looking at 4 season. Thoughts?

I have the nylon one. Love it and it was delivered to Canada exceptionally fast! Holds my UQ, TQ, Ridgerunner and inflatable pillow. I the the GE model is designed more like a snakeskin so comes from either end. The Bridge one only comes from one end. A little harder to cover but not a deal breaker! I went with the large

If I get the ridge runner sock I’ll definitely get this. Love my slug skins in mesh for packability. Advantage of nylon I imagine you have to keep part of it outside the coverage of the tarp (depending) if so the nylon wouldn’t get so soaked but??? I want one. Will have it in time. Will the slug skinny I have not work for the bridge?

I’ve got the mesh one. It’s easy to pack but it picks up dirt easily, so I try to avoid laying it in the ground. Definitely a good investment for keeping all the stuff together. I keep my underquilt attached, top quilt pillow and sleep clothing in there too.

How do the dimensions compare to the regular one? Is it a lot bigger? I saw that there are two bridge tubes - anyone know the difference in size between those too? I didn’t see that info on the website.

I have an original Lazy Slug bought it several years ago.

I love my Slug. I use a RR, Winter wt. UQ , huge tarp. When I am properly motivated I am able to totally bug out in less than five minutes. All my gear including my book, lights, extra clothing, three dogs and we are totally on the move and away from the Hang Site.

I think the Silnylon Lazy Slug is the cats meow.

The Slug is huge so I found it easier than using the Snake Skins. Snake Skins are a lot smaller and easier to pack, in a backpack, however, they require more adjustments to use.

I like the idea of mesh, because it lets the water drip out and lets gear breathe. I also think a person might have a problem with snags or other damage to the contents of the Slug.

My LS if I need to wxit fast everything goes into the slug. The LS are so big they are easy to load unlike smaller tube type containers.

Silnylon is water repellent so if it is wet out the outside of the LS might be wet, however the inside should be clean and dry.
