    Grizz Beak

Here is a couple shots of the worlds first grizz beak in cuben camo. At least manufactured by 2QZQ. Gotta say I like it. I have slept in it in the wild and it’s a great design and nicely made I have purchased just about everything they sell. gotta love the hg tarp and Dutch bling complete with tarp worms and dutchwire.

I’ve got Grizz Beaks for my Cloudburst. But, wow in Cuben Camo! Thanks for the post.

Thank you for the review! I do have a question about the size...seems a bit small in length (top to bottom at the overlap). I want to discuss with your whether we should adjust the size a bit. This Beak was designed to fit the HG Cuben Hex tarp (before camo) and fit as pictured on our website. I wonder if the Hex tarp is a bit wider now...or maybe the Camo tarp is.
I will send you an email.

FYI...I am working with Benson Burner to see if I need to add some length to this Grizz Beak pattern. The goal is for the beak to be the proper length and to have the Beak corner attach to the tieout of the tarp to avoid a second stake at each tarp corner.

Seen this makes wonder what people prefer getting a trap with doors or just getting a grizz beak or two? I am guessing there is a weight saving for of a trap with doors for when you actually need them but weight savings of a trap without doors and just taking/using the grizz beaks when the weather might demand. Thoughts?

Donna, it is so nice to hear how you work to improvement your products for fit and function! I love the idea of the beaks in Cuben Camo, especially if they have a somewhat universal fit (so they work on many different tarps).

I have a Dutch Xenon Hex tarp and have been wondering if your beaks would be a proper fit on that tarp?

    Hi 100 Ton,
The standard Grizz Beak is designed to fit approx a 10' wide tarp...give or take a few inches. Therefore it will work on your tarp.
If you would like to discuss further, please send us a PM with a phone number, and I will give you a call.
    Thank you,
    Donna

I have this same tarp in camo. Was wondering if it would work with a Warbonnet Ridgerunner? The dogbones extend a bit beyond the hex tarp now. Would the beak extend enough to go past the dogbones? If so, it would be perfect for me.
