    Art Loeb Thru Hike Video

It only took me a year and a half to finally make this video from my pal Riley and I's 31 mile thru hike of the Art Loeb Trail in Pisgah National Forest. This to date was one of the toughest physical and mental things I have ever completed. The trail was seriously dry with all the water sources being dry. We ended up hiking between 34-35 miles total due to having to go off the main trail to find water sources that actually had water. The last few miles, were seriously rough as I'm positive I was severally dehydrated. You can tell if you watch. Ha. But check out my newest hiking video! I would for sure do it again, but I would have a different game plan about the water situation.

It was worth the wait - nice job on the video. I could feel the happiness of being done with that one and going to get some Wendy’s.

    Good video. Thanks for sharing.

I could feel the pain in your legs there towards the end. Congrats on getting it done.

Thanks, Paul, I literally was about in tears I was so happy. Going over the last mountain to the parking lot I had to stop no less than 10 times, sit down, take my pack off, try not to vomit and get the dizzyness I was feeling to stop. That's how bad off I was from the water situation. It didn't help I wasn't super in shape for the hike either. Ha. We plan on doing it again sometime this year now that we are both more fit and we know what to expect if we run into the same water situation again.

I hadn't heard of Art Loeb before today. Now I've watched half a dozen thru hike videos. It looks extremely difficult for the relatively short distance.

Thanks for sharing the video. I'm a new subscriber!

It was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be WanderingKansas. I want to tackle it again now that I'm in better shape several years late. Ha. Also, thanks for subscribing!
