    DCF half thunderfly

Been wanting to move to a DCF tarp and loved the beaks on the thunderfly. I decided to do the beak at one end. I’ll just zip my rain jacket over the foot end of my hammock if shtf. 6.2 oz before lines, 7.2oz with lines. Reflective Z-line for ground and door tie outs with micro linelocs. Zingit UCRs for ridgeline with Dutch hooks. Dutch hooks on the door line also. Taped ridgeline seam and all reinforcements are taped on. Reinforcements were made with 1.0 osy black DCF.

I applaud your strong work; that's some serious D(yneema)IY.

If you have time in the future, I hope you'll post some information and/or photos documenting your pattern and methods with regard to assembly of all the critical details.

I would be glad to do that. I’ll put details up in the near future.

Very nice! I'll second Kitsapcowboy on the desire to see your creation process documented. Would love to glean some know how from that beautiful diy creation.
