    Recommend Bright colored hammocks

Don't know why cammo and dark hammocks are so popular. Some hunter is going to shoot the **** out of you when you're sleeping in something like that. Go for bright yellow or red and be seen. When you're in the woods, the last thing you want to be is invisible.

    I don't think it's much of a problem.

Don't camp during hunting season. Most of our trails are closed when hunting is in season.
Maybe better to have a bright orange tarp than a bright colored hammock as that is more visible and in most cases covers the hammock.

Actually, invisible things rarely get shot at. My experience is that hunters are usually a pretty responsible group of folks and a lot of bad press is created by folks that just don't like hunting or guns. Hunting accidents are rare and quite frequently self inflicted based on the data. I'd be very cautious about hiking or camping anywhere that has public hunting during deer season no matter what color my hammock is though. I like my OD hammock because there are times when I am stealth camping and don't want to be noticed or bothered by other people.

That's just too much logic for this thread.
