Day Trip to French Creek State Park, PA

Sunday, January 21, 2018 - Got out to enjoy the warm break in the weather for a few hours. Mostly cloudy, with the occassional sunny break in the cover.

Got to hang with the girlfriend, and put my Christmas presents to the test making my first real YouTube video. There were a handfull of ice fishermen still on Scott's Run Lake (darned if I'd do that at 50+*F). The trails still had patches of slushy ice.

Recorded myself making biscuits in a percolator, ate breakfast for a late lunch, walked around the dam, called it a day, and then went home to learn the video editing software.

Good for you! You had a terrific day to get out and try new gear. Looking forward to the next not-too-frigid free day I might have to try out some new stoves we acquired in December!

Actually it was the tripod. The camera is a hand-me-down from my ex-brother-in-law. He melted the bottom by setting it on a toaster oven, so the card slot doesn't work. Lol. I'm limited to the onboard memory, but it's good enough to learn on and I had a lot of fun doing it
