So you have to sew all the baffles to one side of the quilt, and then carefully mark the other side and finagle the whole thing to sew all those baffles to the other side as well? Ugh! That's songs like a nightmare if true!

I watched a video from Pharmgeek and feel pretty confident that something will come out of the first try.

Yep. It's a tedious, slow process, but not really as complicated as it sounds. Basically, you want to mark lines on your fabric to show where each baffle gets sewn. With a differential cut, the marks will be spaced further apart on the outer layer. Once you've sewn the baffles down on the first layer, it's simply a matter of lining up the proper mark on the other layer with the proper baffle. Keep the side you're sewing the baffles to on one side of the needle (I kept mind rolled up on the right, under the sewing machine arm) and keep the other layer rolled up on the other side of the needle. After you sew a baffle down, you repeat for the next. Here's a photo from my recent build. The yellow side had all baffles sewn on first. The brown side was bunched/ rolled up to the right. After a baffle was sewn on, the joined pieces were moved over to the left together. Much harder to explain than I expected...

Looking good! Are you going to sew a boxed end into the footbox?

That's the plan, I am also hoping to have a hood to cover the head. We'll see how that comes out. I am not taking a lot of measurements since this is not fitted. I am just eyeballing things and having fun with the process

It’s really not that bad - but I’ll admit the first time it’s awkward - but that’s how it is the first time in general but you find your way

I’m psyched to see your end result!! Good luck!
