This is brilliant Dutch! I’ve been on the fence about ordering a Chameleon, but I think this pushes me over the edge. Gotta order one!

    How cool!

My favorite thing, if I am seeing this right, is that I can make gear available without letting bugs in my hammock. i.e. I don't open my net to load my hammock letting bugs in, and when I am inside and want to access gear I am not opening up the net again. The only time those nasties can get in is when I get in the first time. If I do that quick, I can be bug free all night. That's important because Canadian mosquitos are some kind of nasty. They have huge teeth, and a mean streak a mile wide. And they are wicked smart. In fact, I bet they are holding seminars and workshops now to see if there is a work around for this.

Thanks for saving the world from Lyme disease, malaria, and for keeping us from getting too wealthy for our own good, Dutch.

This thing is sheer genius, and I know that more than one Sidecar is in my future, but I'll admit even after watching the videos and looking at the photos I can't quite get my head around how this pocket zips into the full-length zippers on the top cover/net and hammock. I would love to see a short installation video when someone posts one, just to see how the pocket is put into position.

This looks awesome! You’re killing me, Dutch! I don’t have a Chameleon and keep telling myself I don’t need anymore hammocks, but I just about can’t stand it any more! Got. To. Have. A. Chameleon. With. Sidecar!!!!

Same here. I guess you can use the Sidecar even if your under quilt is attached?

Ditto here. I'm utterly confused how this works.

That's not going to stop me from ordering one immediately, however.

This is wonderful stuff right here!!! Just amazing the ideas that are busting out of our cottage vendors these days.

I think attaching it involves black magic or sorcery. I can’t wrap my head around it any better this morning than I could last night. I still want one though.

Ordered mine last night. Which means it arrived yesterday. I too am curious as to how to attach the thing. Maybe it is self-explanatory once you get it. Or maybe it comes with one of those cool Dutchware cards. Thanks Dutch for the brilliant idea. Itching for the spring thaw (which comes in August in Canada). That's right we have only 2 seasons here, Winter and August 11th.
