    I use my tiles too, but for the second cut. After I measure off the second cut I line that up so it is in between the tiles (over recessed grout) and temporarily duct tape it down. That way it is taut and I have a groove to slide my scissors in like the walmart table.

    I think when you consider my sewing skills and that hammocks stretch when you use them, close enough is good enough for me.
