Long overdue Cheaha Wilderness 2 night outing

I have not had the chance to get out and enjoy backpacking in quite a while. Sometime life gets way to busy. So I finally made time to get away. Nothing crazy, just a short hike to one of the nice overlooks on the Pinhoti Trail, then the second day we backtracked a little and hiked to the Blue Mountain shelter for the night. Temps were chilly for this part of the world, 33 the first night, 27 for night 2. Shot a little video, hope you enjoy.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Very enjoyable video. What route did you take that took you to McDill Point and then to Blue Mountain Shelter and then back to Bald Rock?

Parked at Cheaha Trailhead, hiked to McDill, then backtracked to the trailhead, crossed 281 and hiked to Blue Mountain Shelter, then up to Bald Rock from there.

Looks like a great trip. Loved the view at that last stop for a break.
