    Smile Just Joined

    New to hammock camping. Learned a lot from watching Shug videos. I backpack with my wife and so this will be our first time with Hammocks on the AT this summer doing a section hike. I am 6'5" and 270 lbs so wasn't sure a hammock would work before. In the last few years the ground has gotten a lot harder so I will rise above. We live in Iowa so some good trails and places to practice. I have Grand Trunk with a Tadpole tarp and bug net. My grandkids love sleeping in the hammock so that is what convinced me. Pappy
