    Down hood?

Hi everyone, I just finished making my first down top quilt and I'm wondering if any of you have made a removable down hood for your top quilt. I'm picturing something like the hood that is on my mummy sleeping bag, but removable. Does that make sense?

Do any of you have a pattern for such a down hood? Thanks!

    Down hood?

I like that - that looks cool. Have you tried it? Does it work well?

I acquired a small down hooded jacket recently and was wondering how to reuse. I was going to make a beanie but now I think I will copy the zpacks design. Cut the hood off around the shoulders. Probaly going to make some down booties for my feet with rest. Love this forum, Thanks

Yes! That’s exactly what I’m looking for! Though I would like to make my own! Do you know of a pattern already made for something like this? Otherwise I’ll just figure it out

There is a pattern out there if you search for it, I don’t remember where now but I used it to make one. I think that I put too much down in mine, I got too warm on the last winter camp out using it! Lol

You can also buy a balaclava on wish for a buck, wait a bit for it to arrive and use it or tear the seams to get a pattern.

I just got a jacket from Goodwill that had a removable hood for $12. I kept the hood and slashed the jacket to harvest the down.
