    Hammeck Stand elbow connector question

On the Hammeck stand there was an angle on the pipe/leg connectors that put the bottom of the legs away from the center of the stand. has anyone found a supplier for that angle connector, or a way to duplicate that?

Snwcmpr, maybe Hotlips or Gunner know how to contact the Mecks. Or are you going to make a modified connector?

    I sent a pm to a Meck.
No, I just want to make one, maybe, myself.
I see the angle as important.

I got my reply, they made everything themselves to ensure it was strong enough for our needs.
    It looks well made.

They did custom make those elbows. Best to get a hold of Jason or David.

    Thanks Dutch.
I did get a reply from David a few days ago.
    Hi Ken,

We fabricated all of the pieces of the stand ourselves, we did not buy any pre-fabricated parts. Those pieces were cut and welded by my father and brother, starting only with the raw pipe/tubing. We wanted to be sure that our stand could support large amount of weight, as well as the unexpected dynamic forces that can be exerted on the structure by bouncing, swaying, and entering/exiting in a hammock. For that reason, we built everything ourselves, to ensure the safety of our customers.

I cannot honestly say whether or not such a piece exists anywhere on the market, as generally the use-case is different than what we had intended. I hope that you have success finding something, and if I stumble across anything similar, I will let you know.

    No bother at all!

    Good luck!
    David
